SGHAA Programs

SGHSAA has many programs. We are accomplishing our mission and fulfilling our vision through these programs. Our members work tirelessly supporting these programs; donating their time and money. If you want to support today's students at Gratz and the efforts of the Gratz Alumni Association, please contact us.

Here's a list of some of our programs:

• Ten yearly Scholarship Awards $2000 each
• Dedicates $2500 in yearly stipends for various student programs
• Established a Wall of Fame in the Marble Hallway
• Commissioned a 6' x 6' carved image placed as a segment of the wall in the Marble Hallway (See Pictures in events section)
• Continue to financially support and promote the Jazz Band.
• We receive support from 73 - 65 graduate Sheriff John Green on many of the programs and initiatives we have created at Simon Gratz High School
• Major annual fund raisers and events
• Made an $800.00 donation to each one of the four Academies (totaling $3,200.00).
•  $800.00 to the counseling staff to be used for general purposed as needed
• $1,400.00 for a custom made locker for the safe keeping of new instruments donated to the Jazz Band.
• Sponsored a conference in which former Gratz students that
  were attending various colleges and univerisities spent a day speaking with current SGHS seniors about their experience of preparing for graduation and their transition to college.  A continental breakfast and hot lunch was provided by the Alumni Association.
